Nocturnal/Unholycraft - Blood For Glory Of Satan/Black Plague Records/God Is Myth Records/2005 CD Review

Nocturnal  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  primitive  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2005  album  "Unholycraft  -  Blood  For  Glory  Of  Satan"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Black  Plague  Records  and  God  Is  Myth  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  black  metal  riffs  that  are  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  in  the  old  school  tradition,  while  the  lead  guitars  when  they  are  utilized  briefly  are  very  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads

Vocals  are  mostly  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  with  some  samples  being  thrown  into  the  music  at  times,  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Luciferian,  Heretical,  Darkness,  Evil   and  Anti  Christian  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Nocturnal  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  primitive  satanic  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "The  Pack  Of  Lucifer  -  Eternal  Legion  Of  Evil"  "The  Heretic  Mass  -  Plague...  Spit  On  It'  and  "Deep  Within  Enchanted  Lands".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
