Darkness Finder/The Eternal Beauty/Salute Records/2011 CD Review

Darkness Finder are a band from Sweden that plays a very atmospheric, drone and experimental form of black metal and this is a review of their 2011 album "The Eternal Beauty" which was released by Salute Records.

Drum programming is all slow beats, while the synths are very dark and ambient sounding with a great amount of drones being thrown into the music, in addition the music is very experimental with some influences from trip hop, ritual music and noise and there is no use of a bass guitar on this recording.

Guitars are all sound effects when they are utilized that are very drone sounding and there is no actual use of guitar riffing.

Vocals are all high pitched depressive black metal screams when they are utilized, while the lyrics cover dark, magick, 2012 and ritualistic themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Darkness Finder are a very great sounding ritualistic/experimental/dark ambient/drone/black metal hybrid and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Winter Magic" "The Eternal Beauty" and "2012". RECOMMENDED BUY.
